Power of Attorney
A power of attorney is a legally binding document that grants a specified person, called an attorney-in-fact, power over someone else's assets, legal-decision making, real estate transactions, and medical decisions in the event the individual is incapacitated or otherwise unavailable. A valid power of attorney requires two parties: the principal, who is the person signing and granting the power of attorney to another person, and the agent (sometimes called attorney-in-fact), who is the person given the power to act on behalf of the principal.

Last Will & Testament
Wills are highly sensitive probate documents that determine how a person's assets will be distributed after his or her death. The person making the will is called a "testator" if male and a "testatrix" if female.
Acknowledgments & Jurat
The reason services of a notary public agent are sought for acknowledgment is because of the need to identify the individual signing a document. While making an acknowledgement, the notary public agent has to certify that he has not only met the individual signing the document but has also identified him. On top of it, the notary has to guarantee that the individual signing the document is filling the document accurately, out of his own accord and without any external coercion. When it comes to Jurats, it is more than a certificate authenticating the identification of the individual signing the document. Unlike an acknowledgement, a Jurat is used when the individual signing the document has to take an oath that the stated content in the document is based on complete honesty.

Oaths or Affirmations Written/Verbal
An oath is a declaration made to God or a Supreme Being. In contrast, an affirmation is a solemn vow by the signer that has no pledge to a higher power but to the signer’s personal honor. Since both have the same legal effect, it is up to the signer to choose to make an oath or affirmation.
